That demand is being met with fresh capital and capacity moves, including the Office of Strategic Capital’s $820 million conditional loan to Performance Drone Works, the Army’s SkyFoundry pilot targeting 10,000 drones per month by 2026 and 1 million annually thereafter, and CSG’s commitment of more than €100 million to expand its 57-hectare Gnaschwitz site in Germany for nitroglycerin-based products and later ammunition production. The shift from last week’s focus on final assembly to certified sub-tiers is the key progression: throughput now depends on which suppliers can qualify parts, localize inputs, and scale materials fast enough to keep production lines moving. KDDX and Sovereign AI Push Localization Into the Mission Stack
South Korea’s KDDX destroyer program is now localizing the combat stack itself, not just the supplier base. Reporting ties the ship to a Korean combat management system, multifunction radar, sonar, integrated mast architecture, and Korean Vertical Launch Systems for domestic missiles including K-SAAM and Ship-to-Air Missile-II; one source says nine critical shipboard systems are being developed and manufactured in-country, with missile domestic content around 90%. India’s new sovereign AI platform extends the same logic into software infrastructure. Built for private cloud, hybrid, on-premise, or fully air-gapped deployment, it keeps data and model processing inside India-controlled infrastructure and claims Kubernetes-based scaling to 20,000 concurrent users, 10 million-plus documents per year, and roughly 150 TB of annual data growth. Australia, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia’s Vector-SR2 framework point in the same direction: in-country integration, assembly, and lifecycle support are becoming the default procurement standard.
For operators, that raises qualification and integration burdens but improves control over availability and sensitive data. For vendors and investors, the progression is clear: value is shifting from exportable hardware alone toward transfer-ready architectures, sovereign deployment models, and recurring revenue from local production and sustainment.

Honeywell and Shield AI Turn Autonomy Into a Certified Stack
