Revenue Intelligence Shifts from Reporting to Execution, RevOps Designs Deal-Risk Systems
The gist
RevOps is shifting from dashboard maintenance to workflow orchestration, where AI turns activity data into segmentation, coaching, and deal action.

Revenue Intelligence Shifts from Reporting to Execution
AVEVA’s use of People.ai’s SalesAI and Backstory AI shows how quickly revenue intelligence is moving from reporting to execution: emails, meetings, and calls are automatically ingested into CRM, engagement models drive account segmentation and coverage, and managers get deal-risk recommendations that save about 2+ hours a week on deal reviews.
The platform now spans prospecting, outreach, pipeline and deal management, in-workflow coaching, and forecasting in one system. It adds outbound calling, cadence and sequence management, automatic activity capture, guided selling with next-step suggestions and battle cards, engagement and risk signals that trigger rep actions, and predictive close-probability plus scenario analysis.
For RevOps, the job shifts from governing dashboards to designing AI-assisted workflows. The real decisions are which actions get automated, how CRM capture and permissions are set, when risk signals escalate to managers, and how forecasting improves when activity data is captured automatically. Sellers still own discovery, negotiation, closing, and complex stakeholder management, but RevOps increasingly owns the system that standardizes everything around those moments.
